Liverpool set to open talks with star man who has just two years left on his contract - after convincing Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk to sign new deals

Liverpool will enter contract negotiations with one of their key players at the end of the season.

The Reds have tied down Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk to new deals in recent weeks, and are now set to discuss terms with another member of their title-winning squad.

The player in question has two years remaining on his current contract, having joined the club in 2022.

Luis Diaz arrived from Porto midway through the 2021-22 season, and won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in his first four months at Anfield.
