Liverpool reject an approach from Rangers for young Owen Beck, with the left-back recalled from loan spell at Dundee to provide cover for the injured Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson

Liverpool have rebuffed an enquiry from Rangers for left-back Owen Beck.

The 21-year-old great nephew of former Liverpool striker Ian Rush has just been recalled from an impressive loan spell with Dundee.

However, Liverpool need him as cover for Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

Klopp's side recalled Wales U21 left-back Beck from his loan at Dundee, despite making 20 appearances for the Scottish Premiership club.

Beck also earned his first call-up to the senior Wales squad during his time north of the border, but is now needed to cover the injury absences of Robertson and Tsimikas.
