Liverpool lodge a complaint to the Premier League after Manchester City were told to slash their ticket allocation by 20 per cent ahead of next month's Etihad showdown amid concerns over growing disorder between fans

Liverpool have complained to the Premier League after their ticket allocation for their upcoming match at Manchester City was slashed.

Earlier this month Sportsmail revealed that, following a number of instances of disorder at recent games between the two sides, City had been told by safety bosses to cut the visitors’ following by 20 per cent.

As a result, in the latest development in an increasingly toxic rivalry, Jurgen Klopp’s side has been given 2,400 seats for the Premier League fixture, rather than the 3,000 most away clubs would receive.
