Liverpool forward Diogo Jota steps up recovery from knee injury as summer signing prepares to hand Jurgen Klopp boost with imminent return

Liverpool have been handed a boost after striker Diogo Jota took his injury recovery to the next level at the club's AXA training centre.

The 24-year-old has been absent since damaging knee ligaments during a Champions League clash against Midtjylland on December 9.

Manager Jurgen Klopp faced heavy criticism for fielding the summer signing in the match, given Liverpool had secured qualification from the groups which left the fixture as a dead rubber.
