Liverpool FC news: Mohamed Salah this season compared to Luis Suarez’s PFA award-winning 2013/14 campaign

Mohamed Salah has been crowned PFA Player of the Year, beating Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne to be named the best performer in English football in 2017/18.

Salah, the Liverpool forward, was handed the award on Sunday, just one day after he scored his 31st league goal of the season against West Brom, to equal the record for most goals scored in a single 38-game Premier League season.

Liverpool still have three top flight matches remaining, and no one would bet against Salah scoring at least once more to set a new record, nor against the Egypt star breaking the record for a 42-game campaign, which is currently jointly-held by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer with 34 goals.
