Liverpool fan Sean Cox, who suffered life-changing injuries in unprovoked attack outside Anfield back in 2018, congratulates Jurgen Klopp and his players on their Premier League title

Liverpool fan Sean Cox has congratulated Jurgen Klopp's team on winning their first league title in 30 years.

The Irishman suffered life-changing injuries outside Anfield two years ago when he travelled to Merseyside with his brother for the Reds' Champions League semi-final first leg against Roma in 2018.

Cox, a father-of-three, was subject to an unprovoked attack by away supporters which left him in a coma with serious brain injuries.

Cox has returned home to Dunboyne in Ireland for the first time since 2018 back in March

He underwent extensive rehabilitation at the Walton Centre in Liverpool before he was transferred to a Dublin hospital and was finally able to return to his home in Dunboyne in March 2020.
