Liverpool have illustrated their faith in England international Joe Gomez who has signed a new long-term contract to extend his stay at the club.
Gomez has endured two difficult years, with a serious knee injury - sustained while away with England - decimating the 2020-21 campaign while last season did not present enough opportunities for him to play regularly.
The 25-year-old, who joined Liverpool in June 2015 from Charlton, was under contract until 2024 but the Reds have signed extended his contract past then, as they did not want to enter a situation where he heads into the final 12 months without anything signed.
