Liverpool cult hero and former Socceroos goalkeeper Brad Jones retires as veteran ends 22-year career which saw him play for THIRTEEN different clubs

The professional career of former Socceroos goalkeeper Brad Jones has come to a low-key end after the 41-year-old announced his retirement on Wednesday.

Jones, a six-cap Socceroo who also featured for EPL giants Liverpool, joined Perth Glory ahead of the 2021/22 A-League Men season.

But his stint in purple lasted just five games, with a serious knee injury spelling the end of his career.

Jones' last match was on March 19 last year in a 4-1 loss to Brisbane Roar.

That match also marked the end of then-coach Richard Garcia's stint in charge.
