Ian Ayre will become the general manager of TSV 1860 Munich next summer after he leaves his position of chief executive at Liverpool.
Ayre announced in March of his intention to leave Anfield once his contract expires at the club of which he is a lifelong supporter.
Hasan Ismaik, a Jordanian businessman, is at the front of the German second division club's reorganisation.
Ismaik wants to get 1860 who play in the 75,024-capacity Allianz Arena back to the Bundesliga after relegation in 2004.
