Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson ruled out for the rest of the Premier League season but Jurgen Klopp says he has 'a chance' of making the Euros with England after three months and counting on the sidelines

Jordan Henderson is channelling all his efforts into being fit for the European Championships after Jurgen Klopp said he will not play again for Liverpool this season.

Liverpool’s captain has been out of action since February 20 when he damaged his adductor during the 2-0 defeat to Everton. Henderson required surgery to correct the problem and has been going through a rehabilitation programme for the past 10 weeks.

Henderson had hoped to be involved in some capacity for Liverpool’s final two matches of the campaign – against Burnley and Crystal Palace – but a decision has been taken not to rush him back for a couple of substitute appearances.
