Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants Reds to offer 36-year-old James Milner a new contract - with German manager insisting there is 'NO CHANCE' vice-captain will retire next year

Jurgen Klopp is pressing Liverpool to offer James Milner a new contract that would see him complete 20 years as a Premier League player.

The Liverpool boss wants Milner to extend his deal at Anfield and the 36-year-old is waiting for a formal offer to be made before he decides his next step.

The former England midfielder, who made his Leeds debut in November 2002 at the age of 16, wants to carry on playing beyond this season when his current deal expires and could be left with a choice between extending his seven-year stay at Anfield or finding another club where he’d play more regularly.
