Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp pens brilliant letter paying tribute to Mohamed Salah and Rhian Brewster

Mohamed Salah had a busy night on Thursday.

He attended Liverpool's annual awards ceremony on Merseyside, where he picked up both the club's player of the year and players' player of the year prize.

Then he was whisked away on a private jet to London to collect his Football Writers' footballer of the year gong at the Landmark Hotel.

His Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, did not join him in the capital but still managed to steal the show by penning a heartfelt speech.

In the letter, which was read out by journalist Paddy Barclay, Klopp paid tribute to Salah as a player and person, describing the Egyptian forward as "someone who sets an example of how to approach life and how to treat others".
