Liverpool 'are closing in on a swoop for highly-rated Celtic winger Ben Doak', with the 16-year-old finding the chance to work with Jurgen Klopp 'too good to turn down'

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on a swoop for Celtic's highly-rated 16-year-old winger Ben Doak.

The Athletic report that Doak, who has made first-team appearances against Dundee and in the Old Firm derby against Rangers this season, has found the prospect of working alongside Jurgen Klopp too good to turn down.

He is yet to sign a professional contract with Celtic so the Scottish side would only be due a minimal fee in compensation if a move to Anfield was completed.

Doak's Celtic debut against Dundee in January made him the club's second-youngest ever player, behind Jack Aitchison.
