Liverpool and United given fresh hope by RB Leipzig chief

Germany striker Werner has his heart on a move to the Allianz Arena this summer, as he looks to take the next step in his career.

Initial negotiations took place in March between Bayern and Werner’s agent, Karlheinz Förster.

But the deal has gone cold since Robert Lewandowski agreed to a new contract in Bavaria, maintaining his place as the club’s No.1 striker.

Werner’s contract at RBL runs until 2020 and he has refused to sign a new deal.

And it seems Bayern are now prepared to wait until next year to take him for nothing, with Rangnick declaring that no offer has been forthcoming and pouring scorn over a potential move.
