Liverpool and Newcastle United are reportedly battling for Torino's £16million-rated centre back Perr Schuurs.
The Dutch defender has been likened to Liverpool's own Virgil van Dijk because of his commanding performances.
The 23-year-old only moved to Torino from Ajax last year and has been outstanding in his first season in Serie A.
At either Liverpool or Newcastle, Schuurs could partner a Dutch compatriot - van Dijk or Sven Botman.
The Reds are said to be ready to present an offer to Schuurs, but face 'insistent pressure' from the Magpies, according to Calciomercato.
