Mo Salah scored his first goal this year and Cody Gakpo slotted home first ever Reds goal as Liverpool claimed a much-needed win to ease the pressure on Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool went ahead in the 36th minute after a stunning counter attack on Monday night at Anfield.

Darwin Nunez crossed the ball into the box for Mo Salah, who comfortably knocked the ball past Jordan Pickford to put the home side 1-0 up.

Cody Gakpo made it 2-0 with his first goal since joining the Reds after half time.
