Liverpool 0-0 Stoke City: Reds frustrated as organised Potters shut out Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah failed to score for the first time in eight games as Stoke City shut out Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

It was a hangover performance from the Reds after their brilliant 5-2 victory over Roma in the Champions League, with a point keeping the Potter’s slim hopes of Premier League survival alive.

Days before their crucial Champions League semi-final second leg in Roma, there were suggestions Liverpool star Salah could be rested for Saturday’s Premier League clash.

It was a surprise, therefore when he was named in the starting line-up and even more surprising that he played the full 90 minutes.
