As part of the club’s ‘Unity is Strength’ project, LFC volunteers will attend the central food hub in Anfield, which has been turned into the city’s main food storage venue, to provide essential support to meet the current need during these unprecedented times.
Volunteers, who will take part in two-hour time slots from Monday to Friday during the week, will follow strict protection guidelines to ensure their safety and the safety of others including, social distancing, wearing personal protective equipment and regular hand washing/sanitising. The central food hub was also sprayed with sanitiser by infection control specialists in advance of the volunteering beginning.
