The initial planning application went to Liverpool City Council’s planning committee last week and was deferred with a request from the committee for more information regarding event management plans in response to issues raised by the local community.
The planning application was due to be reported back to the planning committee on Tuesday September 11 but, following consultation with Anfield and Everton ward councillors, the club has requested that it be put back to enable local residents to attend drop-in sessions to further understand the plans and provide their feedback.
Senior club officials will host the drop-in sessions and local residents will be sent invitations over the coming days.
