LFC Foundation hosts Black History Month football festival

LFC Foundation hosted a Black History Month-themed football festival last week, which concluded the club’s celebrations.

Forty youngsters from the Premier League’s Kicks Inclusion and Kicks Girls programmes took part in their practical sessions at the Power League Sports Club, which was followed by an anti-racism workshop to help educate participants on the importance of Black History Month, inclusion and racial diversity.

In Wavertree, the LFC Foundation Kicks Development Squad also took part in the educational workshop followed by a friendly fixture with Fowler’s Education and Football Academy (FEFA).

Delivered by LFC Foundation, Kicks is the Premier League’s flagship community programme, which uses the power of football and sport to inspire young people in some of the most high-need areas of England and Wales.
