On BBC Radio 5 Live, we heard from Nick Parrott, a Liverpool fan who described being 'pepper-sprayed' for the first time in his life and how there was 'crushing' being caused by the French police.
It was an important, developing story and the Beeb did it justice.
On BT Sport, meanwhile, we heard from presenter Jake Humphrey, who did his best to waffle while the Champions League's television rights-holders failed miserably to tell us precisely what was happening outside of the Stade de France.
In between gags about pre-match performer Camila Cabello, Humphrey and his panel of pundits talked of 'reports' of trouble.
