Jurgen Klopp insists he is no longer a 'young rabbit' and cannot be the best manager for Liverpool anymore... as the German claims the 'best memories are to come' after confirming his shock summer exit from Anfield

Jurgen Klopp says the best memories are yet to come at Liverpool and promised to give his all as manager until the end of the season, but added he is no ‘young rabbit’ any more and can no longer be the best man for the job.

The German boss shocked the world of football this morning by announcing he had decided to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, bringing down the curtain on nine trophy-laden years in English football.

Klopp, 56, informed Liverpool’s owners in November of his intentions and, though Fenway Sports Group’s Mike Gordon tried to persuade him to say, the manager said ‘there's nothing that could happen to change my mind’.
