Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool’s rebuild is not going to be as big as some people perceive as he laughed off the hysteria around his team selections.
Liverpool’s manager does not have any social media accounts but he was shown some posts on Wednesday, before the game at West Ham, which were critical of the inclusion of Curtis Jones and Joel Matip in particular.
It transpired that Jones, who was making his fifth consecutive start after a season of injury-interrupted frustration, and Matip were instrumental figures, with the defender coming up trumps to cap an excellent display with a bullet header.
