Jurgen Klopp frustrated as Pascal Gross avoids red card after giving away penalty in Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Brighton... with Reds embroiled in another VAR controversy

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he didn't know if they had been the victims of another VAR controversy after Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross escaoped a red card in the 2-2 draw on Sunday.

Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards said the Brighton midfielder should have been sent off for his foul on Dominik Szoboszlai.

Gross gave away a penalty during the first half for pulling back the Hungarian inside the penalty area when he was the last man.

But he was not shown a red card following a VAR review.

Mohamed Salah scored from the resulting penalty just before half-time in a quickfire double that saw Liverpool take the lead.
