Jurgen Klopp has called for Liverpool supporters to show their appreciation for former player Adam Lallana when the playmaker returns to Anfield with Brighton.

Lallana, 33, will head back to his old club this afternoon for the Premier League clash, having left Liverpool on good terms at the end of the 2019-20 season.

And Klopp, his ex-coach, is desperate to see Lallana, who remains a firm favourite among the fanbase, treated to a warm reception to recognise his achievements.

In the matchday programme, he said: 'I cannot speak about our visitors without mentioning a crucial player within their ranks for whom we still have great affection.
