Jurgen Klopp blames Liverpool's Champions League defeat on playing at Real Madrid's 6,000 capacity training ground and looks forward to Anfield return leg at a 'proper stadium'

Jurgen Klopp claims his Liverpool players found it 'difficult' to play at Real Madrid's training ground after they fell to a poor 3-1 defeat at the Spanish side in the Champions League.

Since the coronavirus outbreak over a year ago, Real Madrid have been playing all their home games at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano while they revamp their Bernabeu home.

Compared to the 81,000 stadium, Madrid's training ground holds just 6,000 and even though no supporters have been allowed to attend games recently, Klopp claims the atmosphere felt strange during the first-leg quarter-final loss.
