Jonny May's sensational second try against Ireland at Twickenham proved just what England are capable of as a team in transition — thanks to valuable lessons learned from Liverpool Football Club.

The Gloucester wing is now joint-second on the all-time list of English Test try-scorers with 31 and head coach Eddie Jones offered an emphatic tribute, saying: ‘He’s an incredible rugby player. In the time I’ve been lucky enough to coach him, he has been outstanding.

‘I’ve never seen a more professional player. He continues to get better.’
