Jamie Carragher APOLOGISES to Chelsea fans after he 'got a little emotional' by dismissing the club's success at youth level when slamming 'hypocritical fans' during a rant about their fortunes since Roman Abramovich became owner in 2003

Jamie Carragher has apologised to Chelsea fans after he dismissed the success of the club's youth academy during a rant about their fortunes since Roman Abramovich took over as owner.

Speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, Carragher accused some fans of being 'hypocritical' after he received backlash for suggesting Manchester United should make an approach for Thomas Tuchel amid the uncertainty at Stamford Bridge.

The former Liverpool defender came in for criticism from some Chelsea supporters on Sunday after he wrote in The Telegraph that United should look to take 'advantage' of the uncertainty at the London club.
