Harvey Elliot will return to the Liverpool first team 147 days after he suffered a fracture dislocation of his left ankle.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed the 18-year-old will feature in the club's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Cardiff on Sunday.
The 18-year-old suffered the injury against Leeds in September and had surgery two days later.
'We have to really thank Andreas Schlumberger (head of recovery and performance) but Harvey was the perfect client,' Klopp said, as reported by the Athletic.
'He is in a good place.
