Former England striker Rickie Lambert has announced his retirement from professional football.
The 35-year-old has called it quits after a 19-year playing career which included spells in the Premier League with Southampton and Liverpool as well as 11 international caps.
Lambert has been beset by injury problems in recent seasons and has been without a club since leaving Championship outfit Cardiff City in the summer.
A statement from Lambert read: "I feel lucky to have been involved in this sport for as long as I have.
