Ex-Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit urges the Gunners to make a move for Gini Wijnaldum as the 'isolated' Dutchman struggles in Ligue 1 and Mikel Arteta is desperate for midfield reinforcements

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has urged the Gunners to make a move for Gini Wijnaldum amid the Dutchman's struggles at PSG.

Wijnaldum joined the Parisian side last summer on a free transfer after his contract at Liverpool expired but has already been linked with an early exit.

The 31-year-old has struggled to cement his place in Mauricio Pochettino's side and is believed to be open to a return to the Premier League.

The midfielder's former club Newcastle and Arsenal are both thought to be interested in a move for the Dutchman, according to The Mirror.
