Erling Haaland pockets nearly £900k-a-week and he's STILL not the highest-paid player in the world! PSG stars Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi top the list for football's top earners with eye-watering deals... and Andres Iniesta is making a fortune in Japan

Erling Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm.

The Norwegian has netted 14 times in just eight games, but he further made the headlines on Wednesday after a Sportsmail exclusive report revealed he earns a mammoth £865,000-a-week at Manchester City.

With his blistering start to life in England, it's hard to argue that he hasn't earned every penny of the total, which sees his £375,000-a-week base contract supplemented by several, almost guaranteed bonuses, making him the country's highest-paid player by a long way.

But football - and indeed the Premier League - is no stranger to eye-watering figures, with several of the game's leading clubs backed by the money of some of the world's richest nations, who need not think twice when sanctioning bank-breaking contracts.
