Diogo Jota engraves his name into Liverpool history in just his eighth game by scoring the club's 10,000th goal in Champions League win over Midtjylland as £41m man continues fine start to Anfield life

Diogo Jota has already written his name in the Liverpool history books after scoring the club's 10,000th goal against Champions League opponents Midtjylland on Tuesday.

The £41million signing, who also scored the 9,999th goal after netting the winner against Sheffield United, finished from close range after being played in by Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The winger has made a promising start to his Anfield career with three goals in his first eight games since signing from Wolves in September.
