Darwin Nunez 'tells former team-mate he wants to LEAVE Liverpool' and is 'waiting' for move to European giant as £85million flop nears Anfield exit

Darwin Nunez has reportedly announced his intention to leave Liverpool and join Napoli.

That's according to his former Penarol team-mate and Uruguay midfielder Walter Gargano, who says Nunez told him directly.

Nunez is poised to leave Anfield after three seasons and a particularly difficult final year which saw him start just eight times in the Premier League - and score seven in all competitions.

He has been the subject of interest from Napoli, Atletico Madrid, and Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, but the Serie A champions may now be the most likely option.
