Christian Eriksen STARTS his first game of professional football 266 days after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020 as Brentford boss Thomas Frank names him in the Bees starting XI to face Norwich

Christian Eriksen was handed his full Brentford debut for their away match with Norwich in the Premier League.

Bees boss Thomas Frank made three changes from last weekend's defeat to Newcastle, with Sergi Canos and Ivan Toney also recalled, but Eriksen was named in the starting line-up for a competitive match for the first time since his heart attack on June 12 during Denmark's Euro 2020 fixture with Finland.

Hosts Norwich rang the changes following the midweek loss at Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Grant Hanley, Brandon Williams, Kenny McLean, Billy Gilmour and Josh Sargent were brought back into the side by manager Dean Smith.
