Brighton confirm Mahmoud Dahoud signing with the former Borussia Dortmund star joining Roberto de Zerbi's side as Alexis Mac Allister's replacement on a four-year deal

Brighton have announced the signing of Mahmoud Dahoud following the expiration of his contract at Borussia Dortmund.

Mail Sport revealed at the end of May that the 27-year-old had agreed personal terms with the Premier League club who have been searching for Alexis Mac Allister's replacement after the Argentinian who departed for Liverpool.

Dahoud will join Roberto de Zerbi's Brighton on July 1 after signing a four-year contract until June 2027, bringing an end to a six-year stay at Dortmund.

The German international was hampered by injury during last season's Bundesliga campaign and underwent shoulder surgery last year, but arrives at Brighton fit for the club's first season in European competition.
