Bayern Munich admit they want to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah as club chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge launches charm offensive by claiming it would be an 'honour' to have him and calling him the 'Lionel Messi of Africa'

Bayern Munich have revealed a potential interest in signing Mohamed Salah after club chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted it would be an 'honour' to have him at the Allianz Arena.

Salah has been a huge success at Liverpool since joining in 2017, playing a key role in helping the club win the Champions League as well as their first Premier League title in 30 years, and finishing as the Premier League top goalscorer in 2018 and 2019.

The Reds forward has only two years left on his Anfield deal come the summer and at 28 years old has previously flirted with the idea of a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid.
