Barcelona’s technical director was at Wembley yesterday to check on Philippe Coutinho, according to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
The Barcelona-based newspaper claims Robert Fernandez made a personal visit to watch Coutinho against Tottenham, days after the same outlet reported that the Brazilian’s agent was due to meet Liverpool representatives this week to open talks about a January transfer.
Mundo Deportivo claims “there were quite a few incentives [for Fernandez] in this encounter, but the main one was to see Coutinho in action, again, and, in so doing, to make sure the footballer’s entourage now that Barca are following him very closely.
