Andy Robertson reveals he apologised to his team-mates for an error that led to Jude Bellingham's goal in Scotland's 3-1 defeat to England... as the left back insists he 'will be kicking himself tonight' after 'letting the side down'

Andy Robertson has admitted he let Scotland down after his error led to England's second goal on Tuesday.

Gareth Southgate's side took on the Scots at a boisterous Hampden Park for a clash which was a 150th Anniversary Heritage Match to commemorate England and Scotland’s first encounter in 1872.

The Three Lions started brightly and went ahead through a deft finish from Phil Foden before Robertson failed to clear the ball and Jude Bellingham pounced to make it 2-0 after 35 minutes.

Steve Clarke's side were given a glimmer of hope when Harry Maguire netted an own goal, but Harry Kane sealed the victory with a third for the Three Lions nine minutes from time.
