American Brian Harman storms clear at the top of The Open leaderboard after stunning six-under round of 65 leaves rivals trailing in his wake

Brian Harman uses his spare to time to stalk, kill and eat anything from deer to turkey to alligators. After a superb second round at The Open, the hunter will now take on the role of the hunted.

His blemish-free 65 carried him to 10 under par for the tournament and means this American veteran is very much the man to take down over the weekend. With a five-shot lead, it might require the theft of one of his bows and arrows to do it.

On a breezy day when Tommy Fleetwood slipped to second with a frustrating 71, and Rory McIlroy could manage only slight progress to one under, Harman was immense.
