Sportsmail reported yesterday that Liverpool are in advanced talks to sign the 18-year-old, but the Reds had hoped to pay a transfer fee of only £4million.

Serie A side Bologna are also keen on Ramsay and could make an offer if they sell Scotland defender Aaron Hickey for big money.
