A superstar at No 1 worth £339m, Kylian Mbappe back in fourth place and Liverpool-bound Florian Wirtz's real market cost - stats boffins reveal list of top 100 most valuable players

At just 17, Lamine Yamal has been calculated as the most valuable player in world football - with CIES determining the Barcelona star to be worth £339million.

Yamal has spearheaded Hansi Flick's side's title triumph in LaLiga and run defenders ragged all season having already established himself as a superstar for club and country.

Even if there was a club willing or able to pay his estimated worth, Barcelona would still have the power to say no given Yamal's new contract.

He has a release clause set prohibitively set at €1billion (£841m) and seems set to be the jewel in Barcelona's crown for years to come.
