Abdul Fatawu says he knew he scored the best goal of his career as soon as he launched his shot from inside Leicester's own half against Ipswich.
The Ghanaian took three touches to evade the attention of two Ipswich players before looking up to spot visiting goalkeeper Christian Walton a long way off his line.
Fatawu let the ball roll ahead of him before powering into a run and shot from the edge of the centre circle.
Walton was on the top of his penalty area 50 yards ahead of Fatawu when he turned to scramble back to try to make a save, but the ball cleared the bemused goalkeeper and bounced once before coming to rest in the back of the net.
