Wes Morgan will fly to Madrid with his Leicester teammates on Tuesday for the club’s Champions League quarter-final and be encouraged to give a captain’s address in the dressing room beforehand despite being out injured.
Craig Shakespeare is also happy for Morgan to speak to the side at half-time of the clash with Atletico Madrid because the 33-year-old defender may spot something extra to the coaching staff and pass on words of wisdom.
Morgan will be a significant loss as Leicester attempt to gain a positive result at the Vicente Calderon, having not sufficiently recovered from a back injury to feature, and he faces a race to be fit for the return leg next week.
