Wes Morgan has given Leicester a significant boost ahead of the club’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atletico Madrid by completing a third successive training session and is in contention to start.
The Leicester captain has not featured since injuring a nerve in his back in the victory over Sevilla in the previous round on March 14 but Craig Shakespeare sounded positive on the eve of welcoming Atletico to the King Power Stadium.
Yohan Benalouane has played well in the past six games, including the first leg against Diego Simeone’s side, but with Robert Huth suspended for the match on Tuesday night the importance of Morgan’s return has heightened.
