Wales keeper Ward returns to boyhood club Wrexham

Wrexham have re-signed Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward on a two-year deal ahead of their return to the Championship.

The 32-year-old Wrexham-born keeper was a free agent following the expiry of his contract with Leicester City.

A product of the Wrexham academy, Ward made one senior Dragons appearance in what was a second string side in the Welsh Cup in 2011, losing 2-1 to Airbus UK, before joining Liverpool in 2012.

"It's an exciting time and an amazing feeling to be back at the club," Ward said.

"I'm forever grateful for the opportunity that the Club gave me at an early age and I hope I can repay that.
