Riyad Mahrez is ready to play with more freedom after ending the uncertainty around his future by signing a new contract, according to Claudio Ranieri.
The Algerian penned a new four-year contract worth £100,000 per week and the Leicester manager believes improvements can be made to his game.
Mahrez scored 17 goals and provided 11 assists in the Premier League last season and was linked to a number of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer but will lead Leicester’s title defence and Champions League journey.

Ranieri said it ‘could be’ that Mahrez was affected by the speculation of moves to Arsenal and Chelsea and would now focus fully on his performances for Leicester.
