Riyad Mahrez has admitted Leicester players are frustrated at Premier League results but insists they are not contemplating a sustained fight against relegation.
The PFA Player of the Year has like the rest of Claudio Ranieri’s champions so far failed to hit the heights of last season domestically but is adamant performances have been good, despite sitting just two points above the drop zone.
By contrast Mahrez and Leicester have done superbly in the Champions League and require just a point from Tuesday night’s game against Club Brugge to reach the knock-out stages.

Victory would take Leicester to 13 points after five Group G games, one better than their Premier League total following 12 matches, and Mahrez is looking to add to his three goals and one assist in Europe’s elite competition.
