Premier League champions Leicester ban famous ‘clappers’ just months after giving them to fans amid fears they are being thrown at rivals

A group of passionate Leicester fans have been banned from using the club's cherished cardboard 'clappers' at matches.

The clappers, which look similar to fans, make a distinct noise when hit against the palm of the hand and are handed out to the crowd before every game.

However, as reported by the Leicester Mercury, a section of 500 supporters were informed that they would not be allowed to use them prior to Tuesday's Champions League clash with Club Brugge.
