Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side are on par with his great Barcelona team, claims Claude Puel but Leicester boss says Etihad outfit have flaws

Pep Guardiola has raised Manchester City to the level of his all-conquering Barcelona team, according to Claude Puel.

The Leicester City manager becomes the latest to attempt to defeat Guardiola’s side in the Carabao Cup quarter-final at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

Puel insists he has spotted areas of City’s game that can be exploited, but argues they are Europe’s best and operating at the same heights reached by Barca between 2008 and 2012.

Puel got first-hand experience of Guardiola’s team during the 2008-09 Champions League, when his Lyon side lost 6-3 on aggregate in the last 16.
